Cops don't only save people; they save animals too! Indiana State Trooper Mike Wood responded to a call of a small deer in the median of I-70 in Putnam County. When he arrived, he found a baby deer, only several hours old, in the median, with the baby deer's mother deceased on the side of the road. Trooper Wood wrapped the baby deer in a towel and worked with employees of a neighboring business to keep the baby deer warm. Trooper Wood turned the baby deer over to the Indiana Department of Natural Resources, where it will be well cared for.
