Meet the Heroes: Eric Devers

August 24, 2015

APTI's newest hero is Trooper Eric Devers with the Piqua Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol. Trooper Devers responded to a truck collision on April 28, 2015, where he found the driver semi-conscious and taking short, gasping breaths. The driver soon became unconscious and stopped breathing. Trooper Devers began administering CPR to the driver while paramedics rushed to the scene. In total, Trooper Devers performed CPR on the driver for 12 minutes, reviving the man as medics arrived to take over. Trooper Devers, through his fast actions, saved the driver's life, and the man has since made a full recovery.
