Sorry You Got Tased Cake

I know that I don't usually post on Thursday but I saw this article on the Oregon Live news site and thought it was worth sharing.  We all know workplace accidents happen but they don't usually end up with a Trooper getting a cake.

While responding to a domestic violence call a Umatilla County deputy deployed his Taser and accidentally hit Oregon State Troop Mitchell Goldman.  One of the prongs had hit the subject and one had hit the trooper, and because the two were fighting, both got received the shock.

The deputy who Tased Trooper Goldman felt bad and brought him a cake that said Sorry You Got Tased on top of it with blue icing.  A picture of Trooper Goldman and his cake was posted on Oregon State Police's Facebook page.

While somewhat comical, this accident shows us something important.  When someone does something accidentally, it is often better to forgive than to get angry and that is what it appears Trooper Goldman did.  Good job Troop.

Stay safe out there everyone.
